MARKET RESEARCH & CONSUMER INSIGHTS INTERN

First & First Consulting is a research and analytics firm focused on leveraging innovative research methods in order to help our clients make more informed business decisions across branding, product innovation, marketing, and content.The consultancy is built on the idea that strategy should be data-driven and that analytics should tell a story. Our clients include brands such as Meta, Cash App, and Live Nation.

Our offices are located in Brooklyn on the border of Gowanus and Park Slope. As we believe you will get the most benefit from your internship through close collaboration with the team, we seek students that can come into the office 2-3 days per week based on your schedule.

LEARN SOPHISTICATED RESEARCH & ANALYTICS TECHNIQUES FOR TOP BRANDS

As a First & First Consulting Intern you will combine your attention to detail, creativity, and flexibility to learn how to solve business problems, develop valuable marketing research and create compelling insights for advertising agencies and brands. You will gain exposure to the latest and greatest in research and analytics tools while learning from one of the industry’s leading experts in marketing analytics methodologies.

Leveraging world-class technology to analyze social listening and to gain depth into the demographics and psychographics of audiences is only the start of what we do to provide our clients with insights for their high-profile marketing campaigns.

YOU WILL GAIN EXPERIENCE:

  • Assisting the project consultant on a variety of insights and analytics tasks 

  • Supporting our Insights and Analytics team in understanding consumers and what influences their buying decisions

  • Utilizing leading social listening and marketing analytics platforms to extract data and insights

  • Developing and analyzing research data and designing presentations of your findings

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Marketing, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences, Economics or other research-related majors 

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills (e.g., vlookups, pivot tables, data manipulation, conditional formatting), PowerPoint, and Google Suite

  • Students who are reliable, can learn quickly and have strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to demonstrate independence

  • Willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to come into office at least 2 full days during the week

  • Currently enrolled undergraduates who have the appropriate credit load to take a for-credit internship with the approval by their advisor. All internships are conducted according to compliance with New York State Department of Labor regulations
